POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

RESERVATIONS

TO REQEST A RESERVATION: Please contact us by telephone at 1-226-347-3847 OR by email at info@peleeparadise.ca. Alternatively, you may complete, save, and return by email our Reservation Request Form (Adobe PDF format).

AVAILABLE GUEST ROOMS: We have two guest bedrooms available.  We offer the Master Whirlpool Suite which can accommodate 1-2 guests and has a queen bed. The Master Whirlpool Suite also has a sitting area, flat screen television, walk-in closet, and private ensuite bathroom with a two-person whirlpool tub, double wash basins, and toilet.  Guests also have access to the private main floor bathroom which has a walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet and is reserved for guest use only during your stay.  

We also offer a Second Guest Bedroom, which can accommodate 1-2 guests and has a double bed and assess to the adjoining private main floor bathroom. 

We do not accept more than one reservation or booking per night.  The Second Guest Suite may only be reserved in conjunction with the Master Whirlpool Suite, and is intended to accommodate a need for individual bedrooms and/or accommodate additional guests travelling with you in your same party. 

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Between the Master Whirlpool Suite and Second Guest Bedroom, we can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests.

The number of guests staying and applicable fee is based on the number of guests indicated in your reservation request and confirmation.  Additional guests and visitors are not permitted without the prior consent and approval of the host.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS:  Registered guests must be a minimum age 25 years.  Any guest under the age of 25 years must be accompanied by a registered guest who is minimum age 25 years. 

The Guest House and guest rooms are furnished to accommodate adults.  However, we will consider reservation requests for adults travelling with children on an individual basis.  Infants and young children must occupy the same room as their parent or guardian.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES: We accept Interac E-transfer, PayPal, cheque, and cash. As we are a newly registered business, we are unable to accept payment by credit card at this time.  We require a deposit of $100 to secure a reservation at the time of booking.  Full payment of the balance owing is payable on check-in. 

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT:  Occupancy is any time after 3 p.m. on your arrival date until 12 a.m. on your departure date. Please notify us of your intended approximate arrival time.  Valid government photo identification may also be requested on check-in, consistent with commercial practices. We may be able to accommodate early arrival and later departure requests depending on arrival/departure of other guests and necessary cleaning times.

RATES/ROOM TAX: Posted nightly rates for the Master Whirlpool Suite are the room rate, regardless of single or double occupancy. Posted nightly rates for the optional Second Guest Suite are per person, and may be single or double occupancy. The Second Guest Suite may only be reserved in conjunction with the Master Whirlpool Suite, and is intended to accommodate requests for separate sleeping arrangements and accommodation for groups of up to four guests in total.  Posted rates include cleaning fees and applicable taxes.

MINIMUM STAY: There is a 2-night minimum stay requirement.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  In the event you need to cancel your reservation, your deposit will be fully refunded if your notification is received by us two days prior to your check-in date.  Your deposit will not be refunded for cancellations received after that point, but can be applied should you wish to make a reservation for an alternate date.

OTHER POLICIES

BREAKFAST / MEALS: We operate as a Guest House and do not offer prepared meals in the same manner as B&B accommodations. However, guests have access to all household amenities, including the fully equipped kitchen and are welcome to bring their own food and prepare meals to suit their own schedule and dietary needs, and are not limited to just breakfast. Separate food storage including refrigerated storage is provided. Guests may also enjoy our complimentary coffee and specialty teas, and packaged snacks. There are also a number of excellent restaurants within a short walk or drive offering quality menu options at affordable prices.  We adopted this approach in order to provide maximum flexibility to guests – it is also our preferred approach when travelling.

TOILETRIES, LINENS AND TOWELS:  Sufficient toiletries are provided (akin to any commercial hotel stay).  Quality bed linens and towels are also provided.

ACCESS TO GUEST ROOMS:  The owner may enter the guest room for cleaning each day, unless a guest declines cleaning services.  The owner may enter the guest room during the day or early evening when there is a concern for the unit and at any time when there is an emergency.

GUEST ROOM DOOR LOCKS: Many smaller B&Bs and Guest Houses do not have locks on guest room doors.  Our guest rooms are equipped with passage locks, which may be locked from the inside only.  We trust our guests will consider this sufficient as we only accept one group booking or reservation each night.   The Master Whirlpool Suite also includes a small in-room safe.  If these arrangements do not meet your requirements, please let us know and we will install a temporary keyed passage lock on your guest room door.

EXTERIOR DOOR LOCKS:  We will be equipping the main entrance door with keypad access.  Guests will be provided the key code at the time of check-in so they can come and go as their discretion.   The key code combination is changed after each guest check-out.

CLEANING SERVICE: Guests rooms and guest bathrooms are cleaned, beds are made, and fresh towels are provided once each day, unless the guest declines daily cleaning services.  Clean bed linens are provided every fifth day for stays of more than 4 nights, unless the guest declines that service. 

CLEANLINESS: Guests shall maintain the premises in a clean and orderly condition.  Guests utilizing the kitchen to prepare their own meals are expected to maintain the kitchen in a clean and orderly fashion.  A dishwasher is provided.  Guest rooms are not intended for consumption of meals.  Guests are requested to enjoy their meals in the formal dining area or kitchenette, as those areas have ceramic tile flooring.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:  Open flame candles are not permitted.  Guests shall not leave the gas oven and stove or the gas barbeque unattended when cooking.

DISTURBANCE: Guests shall not make any unlawful, noisy or otherwise offensive use of the rented premises, nor commit or permit any nuisance to exist thereon, nor cause damage to the rented premises, nor create any substantial interference with the rights, comfort, safety, or enjoyment to the owner, other guests, or neighbours.

SMOKING AND PETS: We attempt as much as possible to provide an allergy free home. Smoking and pets are not permitted.

INTERNET, TELEPHONE & TV:  Internet WiFi access is provided.  Televisions are HDMI or WiFi / Bluetooth enabled, and a DVD library is available.  Telephone and cable TV services are not provided. 

PARKING: Ample guest and host parking are available.  Parking is provided for up two guest vehicles in the driveway.  We ask that guests park on the left-hand side of the driveway. 

STORAGE: Storage is available in the locked garage for outdoor recreational peripherals including golf-clubs, bicycles, etc.

ACCESSABILITY FEATURES: For guests with mobility challenges, our home has added accessibility features, including generous entry and floor dimensions, accessible rear patio, main-floor bath with walk-in shower and grab rails, main floor laundry, and a vertical platform wheelchair lift in the garage.
